Where to sell your app, honestly compared
We're new. We'll tell you the truth about how we stack up, why you don't have to choose us instead of anywhere else, and the bigger thing we're building that you can get in on early.
The honest landscape
There are good places to sell a digital product. Here's a fair look at the common ones and where we fit. (Numbers are what these platforms publish as of late 2026; always check their current terms.)
| Platform | Their cut | Do they market it for you? |
|---|---|---|
| Sell it yourself (your own site + Stripe) | ~3% + processing | No. You keep almost everything, but you find every buyer yourself. |
| Gumroad | 10% + 50¢ on your own traffic; 30% when a buyer finds you through their marketplace | Barely. It's mostly a storefront + checkout; you still drive the traffic. |
| AppSumo | A large cut (often most of the revenue), usually on deep lifetime-deal discounts; ~10% acceptance | Yes, heavily, but you sell cheap lifetime deals and hand over a big share. |
| AI Digital Market Pro | Even 50/50 (you keep half), no forced lifetime-deal fire-sale | Yes. We market it and collect the sale, and an affiliate network promotes it. |
The honest read: if you already have an audience, selling yourself keeps the most money, and you should. If you don't, the real question isn't "what percentage do they take" - it's "who actually brings the buyers." 90% of nothing is nothing. We take 50%, and in return we do the two hardest things for you: the marketing and the sale collection. That's the trade.
You can sell here AND everywhere else
We are not exclusive. List your app with us and keep selling it on your own site, Gumroad, wherever you like. We'd rather earn your listing by actually driving sales than lock you in. More shelves, more buyers, your call.
What we ask, and what we promise buyers
Because we put your app in front of real buyers, we hold every listing to the standards our store promises: it works as described, no malware, no ads or hidden tracking, a one-time price the buyer truly owns, and updates delivered to people who bought it. You support and fix your own app (we don't have your source); we handle the storefront, checkout, payment, and routing support to you.
One fair-play note for buyers: since apps can be sold in more than one place, we only stand behind a copy bought through us. If someone buys the same app elsewhere, their support and refunds come from wherever they bought it. That protects you and us both.
The bigger thing we're building
Here's the part that isn't on the comparison table, because nobody else is set up for it the way we are.
We translate apps. Our distribution is being built to carry your app into global markets in up to 30 languages, including newly-growing markets where an English-only listing never reaches. Most solo developers never localize their app because it's hard and expensive. We make it a service you can turn on, and then your app can sell to people who could never have found it before.
That's the end game: not just another storefront, but a distribution channel that takes good apps worldwide. We're early, and early is the best time to get on a shelf that's about to reach a lot more people.
Give us a shot
Free to list. Non-exclusive. We only make money when you do. If we can't sell your app, you've lost nothing.
